We offer one-one drum lessons in Skelmersdale. Our fully equip studio is the perfect place to develop your drumming skills with the expert guidance of our professional drum tutors. We use multiple drum kits to allow tutors to demonstrate techniques clearly and ensure the student is always at their instrument.

During your drum lessons you will learn to master the fundamentals of musical rhythm, stick control, technique, and more. You can study towards graded examination or just for the fun it. We won’t pressure you to take exams, but we will encourage you to give it all you have got!

James began his professional career straight from high school performing in venues across the U.K and Europe. James’s teaching career began early too, with a volunteer position in Lancashire Youth Service. In 2007 James founded The Engine Rooms in Skelmersdale and grew the business into an award winning music school before returning to full time performance work in the hotel industry. Now the director of Next Step Studios and Anteros Community, James is a devoted educator. A fellow of the school of social entrepreneurs, and recipient of the SELNET social entrepreneur of the year award, James is as passionate about community and personal development as he is about music and creativity. James currently teaches for Lancashire Music Service and a maintains a small number of private students here at Next Step Studios.
