We offer one-one guitar lessons in Skelmersdale. Our fully equip studio is the perfect place to develop your guitar playing skills with the expert guidance of our professional guitar teachers. We have guitars available for beginners to use during their guitar lesson, but we recommend students have their own instrument as soon as possible for home practise.
During your guitar lessons you will learn to master the fundamentals of musical rhythm, the fretboard, basic and advanced technique, and more. You can study towards graded examination or just for the fun it. We won’t pressure you to take exams, but we will encourage you to give it all you have got!

Terry Jacobsen
Terry studied Jazz and Popular music at Wigan and Leigh Collage before moving on to Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts to study Music business, performance and marketing. Since graduating Terry has acquired a wealth of experience as a performer and an educator in the music industry.
Terry has lectured for West Lancashire college, managed the tuition departments of Sound Affects Studios, and designed The Engine Rooms ensemble program Young Guns. Terry has made a huge contribution to the development of young musicians in the local area, and continues to share his knowledge and passion for the guitar here at Next Step Studios.
Terry has worked internationally as a performer and used his network to promote guitar events with leading guitarists and industry sponsors such as Albert Lee, Preston Reed, Gordon Giltrap, Gary Potter, Paul Reed Smith, Boss/Roland and more.
Terry teaches all ages and abilities, offering specialised technique for Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country and Fusion.
